Don't tell me people can't change, because I did.

2011 - at my lowest bottom I was penniless, friendless, homeless, jobless, car-less, soul-less. I allowed alcohol to take everything away. Period.

Then with the help of a power greater than myself, I had the courage to put the drink down and get my life and health back. I spent the first 4 months of my sobriety living in a homeless shelter. I rode a bike around town for 4 years or took our local bus to work with all of my belongings in a knapsack. I used a communal shower and paid $7 a week for my bed.

TODAY - I’m a financially independent woman with a full-time job as a leader in my field. I got certified as a holistic health coach and started my own business on the side. I own a condo and a car and I have excellent credit. 2011 wasn’t that long ago, and boy has life changed.!

Today, I help others stay sober. I coach people to improve their health. And probably most importantly, I’m able to help my Mom.

Why? Because I prayed, and with the help of my God, I made a decision, I stayed committed, I stayed consistent, I trusted the process, I got into action, and I believed in myself.

Don’t tell me that people can’t change. Because I did.

Remember whatever it is, you’re one decision away from changing your entire life.
